Upgrade
On the web
- Go to Settings > Subscription.
- Tap Upgrade to Pro.
- You'll be redirected to Stripe Checkout to add a payment method and confirm the plan.
- On success, your account is Pro immediately and the entitlement syncs to mobile.
On iOS
- Go to Settings > Subscription.
- Tap Upgrade to Pro.
- Confirm the purchase via the App Store sheet.
- On success, your account is Pro immediately on iOS and on the web.
Cancel your plan
Cancel where you bought it. The method depends on where you originally subscribed.
Web (Stripe)
- Open Settings → Subscription.
- Tap Cancel Plan.
- A short survey appears — pick the reason that fits best (Too expensive, I wasn't using it enough, Missing a feature I needed, Too much manual entry / too much work, Switched to another app, or Other). Adding a comment is optional.
- Tap Cancel my plan to confirm.
Your Pro features stay active through the end of the current billing period. The subscription does not auto-renew after that. You can skip the survey by tapping Never mind.
iOS (App Store)
Subscriptions purchased through the App Store must be canceled through Apple, not through the BudgetLabs app.
- Open the App Store and tap your profile icon.
- Tap Subscriptions, then choose BudgetLabs.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.
Android (Google Play)
- Open Google Play, tap your profile icon.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BudgetLabs.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
In all cases, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Pro features until then.
Resume a canceled plan (web only)
Changed your mind? If your web (Stripe) subscription is set to cancel at the end of the period but hasn't expired yet:
- Open Settings → Subscription.
- Tap Resume Plan.
Your subscription is immediately set to renew on the next billing date. No new payment method or checkout session is required.
To reverse a canceled App Store or Google Play subscription, follow the same store management steps above and use the store's own "Resubscribe" or reinstatement option.
Manage billing details
- Web (Stripe). Open Settings → Subscription and tap Update payment & invoices to update your payment method or view invoices in the Stripe customer portal. (To cancel, use Cancel Plan on the same page.)
- iOS (App Store). App Store → your profile → Subscriptions → BudgetLabs.
- Android (Google Play). Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BudgetLabs.
If you upgrade on one platform and try to manage on the other, the app will redirect you to the right place.
Switching from monthly to annual
Stripe lets you switch between monthly and annual from the customer portal at any time. App Store users switch via the App Store's subscription management.
Refunds
- Web — refunds are handled through Stripe; reach out via Support.
- App Store — refunds are handled by Apple; request via reportaproblem.apple.com.
What we don't do
- We don't trial Pro and then surprise-charge you.
- We don't gate core budgeting behind Pro. The whole point of the app works on Free.
- We don't sell ads or your data. Period.
